BERWICK -- Volunteers will spend hours getting everything just right for Berwick's 69th annual Christmas Boulevard.
It takes months for organizers to get everything ready on the mile-long stretch of North Market Street from building the sets to sprucing up some of those older decorations.
"My favorite part is watching the kids see Santa Claus for the first time," said organizer Michael Monico. "They'll be five car lengths down and their eyes will get big dough eyes and they'll be screaming Santa. That's what makes this all worth it."
Houses on the street get into the spirit as well.
"It's big," said Shannon Cokosky.
When it is all set up and complete, Christmas Boulevard will also feature a tribute to longtime Berwick football coach George Curry.
Christmas Boulevard officially opens on Saturday at 6 p.m. and will be open daily from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. through Christmas Eve.
