LOWER TOWAMENSING TOWNSHIP -- A wood-burning stove is to blame for a fire that damaged a home in Carbon County.
Crews were called to the house on Hemlock Drive near Palmerton around 11 a.m. Wednesday.
The living room has fire damage and there is smoke and water damage throughout the rest of the home. Firefighters said the fire got its start from the wood-burning stove.
No one was hurt. The couple who live in the home were not home at the time. They will have to stay somewhere else after the fire.
