STROUDSBURG — A man found guilty last month for the death of his wife in 2001 was sentenced Thursday in Monroe County.
Edward Yale was sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison for the third-degree murder and three to 24 months for tampering with evidence.
A jury found Yale guilty of murder last month for the death of his wife in 2001.
Prosecutors said Yale beat and stomped his wife at the bottom of the basement stairs at their home on Mount Nebo Road in Marshalls Creek.
Yale denied the allegations and said Joan simply fell. They jury decided Yale’s version wasn’t true.
