PENNS CREEK -- A woman who lives in Snyder County has just turned 105 and says she isn't slowing down any time soon.

In 1910 William Taft was president, and sliced bread and Diet Coke weren't even invented yet.

But Grace Kovacs was alive. And here she is 105 years later, celebrating a milestone birthday! Grace tells us in those 105 years, she's lived a full life.

"I did a lot of things. I sewed, I knitted, I worked, traveled," Grace said.

Three times a week, Grace comes to Penns Creek Adult Resource Center near Selinsgrove.

Manager Chris Erb says even though she is 105, Grace exercises, plays games and even helps her friends.

"She loves to help Elaine, who is totally blind. She gets her snacks for her," Erb said.

In fact, at the senior center, Grace is known as "Amazing Grace."

Her daughter Joan thinks that's a good nickname for her. Grace still bakes apple pie and loves to shop.

"Besides coming here three days a week, she cleans her own room and her own bathroom," Joan said.

Grace lives with Joan and her husband in Mifflinburg. Joan said her mother still likes to cook.

"Sometimes she doesn't like what we're having so she'll cook her own supper or she'll make a specialty," Joan said.

Even though turning 105 is a big milestone, Grace tells Newswatch 16 she doesn't see what all the fuss is about.

"I don't feel any different," Grace said.

Grace used to decorate wedding cakes and she was a seamstress at one time. Now she is a self-proclaimed movie buff. So what's the secret to living to 105?

"I have no idea what the secret is. I worked most of my life," Grace said.

Erb says she plans to have an even bigger party next year when Grace turns 106.
