MAIN TOWNSHIP -- Firefighters had a challenge Friday trying to battle flames in the face of a strong, gusty wind.
A call went out just before 9 a.m. for a house fire on Iron Bridge Road near Bloomsburg. Nearly a dozen tankers responded because the home is nearly a mile away from a water source.
The fire started on the second floor of the home in Columbia County.
A couple who lives here made it out safely.
There's no word on a cause.
