UPDATE: The Harrison Avenue Bridge in Scranton is back open to traffic Saturday afternoon.
According to PennDOT, the bridge reopened more than an hour ahead of schedule after crews installed a storm pipe.
SCRANTON -- There is a traffic alert for drivers in Scranton this weekend.
The Harrison Avenue Bridge is scheduled to be off limits to most vehicles starting Friday night at 7.
It's expected to be shut down until 5 p.m. Saturday.
Crews plan to put in a storm pipe across the road.
Emergency vehicles and pedestrians will still be able to use the Harrison Avenue Bridge in Scranton.
