WILKES-BARRE -- Saturday went to the dogs at a special event in Luzerne County.
Bark for Life held a dog-friendly fundraiser for the American Cancer Society at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre.
For a fee of $10 a pup, owners could mingle with other dog lovers and visit vendors. Folks say they like this event because they don't have to keep their pets at home.
"It's really nice. It's really unfortunate sometimes when you can't take your dog anywhere so this is a really great event," said Lisa Day of Wilkes-Barre.
A few hundred people and about just as many dogs attended the event here in Luzerne County.
