MOOSIC -- The future is now! October 21st, 2015. It's the day Marty McFly and Doc Brown land in the future in the blockbuster "Back to the Future Part II."
At Cinemark in Moosic, movie fans got a chance to watch the "Back To The Future" movies.
Outside, a DeLorean, just like the time travel device in the movies, was set up for people to see. There were folks decked out like the characters of the movies, too, with accessories like light-up shoes, and hover boards.
"It kind of gives us a chance to create that magic of when we were kids and kind of compare how they thought the future was going to be to how it really is,” said Dan Mattatics of Scranton.
"It's really cool for me because I've never seen them before, which everyone thinks I'm crazy for not seeing them," said Brianna Hopkins of Clarks Summit.
Inside Cinemark, Newswatch 16 found two guys dressed up as the main characters, Doc and Marty.
"I'm a little crazy first off and secondly, I have a DeLorean that's almost converted to a full time machine and it's just a good time,” said Mike Heon of Berwick.
The fans say no matter the date, even when the future is in the past, these movies will remain popular.
“Even 30 years later, people remember it. They love it, you know. It's just a lot of fun. When you're driving up 81 in a time machine, you always get a lot of nods, people taking pictures. I think it's such a great movie and even 30 years later, they remember it. They love it,” said Matt Harris of Berwick.
