HANOVER TOWNSHIP -- A head-on crash near Wilkes-Barre Wednesday sent a young girl to the hospital.
The crash happened around 4 p.m. on the Sans Souci Parkway.
Police said a mother and two children plus a dog were in one of the cars.
One of those children, a 9-year-old girl was flown to a hospital after the crash. The mother and the other child were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
State police said the car the mother was driving suddenly swerved into the path of the other car for an unknown reason. The driver of that car was also taken to the hospital.
Police said the mother and the 9 year old were not wearing seat belts. The other child, a 5 year old, was belted in a car seat.
