SCRANTON -- The former superintendent of the Mid Valley School District in Lackawanna County pleaded guilty to theft charges Friday.

James Tallarico of Dunmore admits to stealing nearly $12,000 from the school district.

He faces up to seven years in prison when he is sentenced.
