SCRANTON -- Sunday is the 20th annual Steamtown Marathon. Runners were getting ready Saturday for their 26.2 mile trek.

Folks lined up to get their race packets at an expo held at Marywood University in Lackawanna County.

There were plenty of non race things to do here too like make signs showing support for runners.

There were massage tables and vendors on hand in case competitors needed to pick up some extra gear.

"It's a day where you're kind of relaxing and chilling and you meet all the people you see at least once a year here," said Patrick Flannery who will be running in Sunday's race. "As you pick up your stuff, you know its game time tomorrow."

The marathon steps off Sunday morning at 8 a.m. in Forest City in Susquehanna County and ends on Courthouse Square in Scranton.

As runners were busy at the expo, organizers made sure the finish line is in good shape on North Washington Avenue in Scranton.

It looks pretty bare now, but Sunday will be a different story, as thousands of runners cross over the finish line in Lackawanna County.
