SCRANTON -- A jury in Lackawanna County found a doctor from Schuylkill County guilty of handing out pills illegally.
Stephanie Tarapchak of Ashland was convicted on eight of 12 charges, including the most serious, drug delivery resulting in death.
Prosecutors say she gave thousands of prescription drugs, including painkillers, diet pills, and sedatives to patients who were drug-dependent.
