WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP -- Some businesses near Wilkes-Barre were on lockdown Monday evening after reports of a shooting.
Police were called to Spring Street around 5:30 p.m.
As a precaution, Burlington Coat Factory and Home Depot were locked down for a short time.
Police tell us they took a man into custody. Officers said a woman was taken to the hospital, but they believe she was physically assaulted and not shot.
Police have not released any other details at this time.
