Scare at the Villa – Haunted Walk through at St. Mary’s Villa
To celebrate Halloween, “Scare at the Villa” is a walk through fright show at St. Mary’s Villa in Elmhurst. The event is for kids of all ages and held under the pavilion behind the nursing home each Saturday and Sunday, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., from October 10 through November 1. Food and refreshments are available. Entry fee is $5 with all proceeds to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Costume Pageant & Fall Festival
Griffin Pond Animal Shelter sponsors a Costume Pageant & Fall Festival. It’s all treats & no tricks with the Halloween event at the animal shelter on Griffin Pond Road in South Abington Township on Sunday, Oct. 18 starting at 12:30 p.m. Come in costume with your furry friend, and prizes will be awarded. There will be vendors, music, face-painting and food available. Entry fee is $5 per pet.
Variety Show for “Ruth’s Place”
Hanover Area Jr/Sr High School hosts a Variety Show to benefit “Ruth’s Place” for women experiencing homelessness. The Variety Show is at the school on San Souci Parkway in Hanover Township on Saturday, Oct 17 starting at 6:30 p.m. It’s a fun-filled night of music and entertainment for children, students and adults. Admission is $3 for students, $5 for adults, and children under 5 years are admitted free.
