Former Old Forge all-state linebacker Shane Schuback is starting to fit in for the Lackawanna College Falcons defense.

"My first two years here have been good. I got red-shirted last year, so I definitely knew I had to come back this semester with a little bit of fire underneath me. I came back and did what I had to do. I got everything taken care of, and I finally got an opportunity and it worked out great. I couldn't be happier with the way our defense is playing right now," said Shane.

"He's playing very well. He had a forced fumble, an interception, a sack all in one game. He is doing really well. He's having a great season," said Mark Duda.

We'll certainly there is a high talent level here with Coach Duda and the Falcons. Also a few Division I transfers have helped the cause. Michael Boland he former Dunmore Buck is here from the University of Connecticut he is playing tight end, and the Falcons also have a starting quarterback Andrew Ford comes here from Virginia Tech.

"It helps me a lot. I mean it makes this area seem like a better area. I know a lot of people tend to talk down about our area, but the Northeastern Pennsylvania region is actually very well-known for their football. I'm here playing with kids like this knowing that they are all getting reps it really means a lot to me," said Mike Boland.

"It's a great fit for me. I came up here and took a visit in the summer and it just seemed like a great fit and a great opportunity for me to play with a great bunch of guys. It was just a good fit for me," said Andrew Ford.

6'7" 347lb lineman Pete Borum from Lake Lehman is in his 2nd year with the Falcons.

"When you play here it is really important. They give you like a lot of looks out here, and it's really important to work hard and earn your keep here. You earn what you get here and everyone gets offered," said Pete Borum.

Kevin White was a 1st round pick by the Chicago Bears this past NFL draft out of West Virginia. He got his start here at Lackawanna.
