HARVEYS LAKE -- A driver accused of being drunk when he hit and killed a jogger in Luzerne County may now head to trial.
Newswatch 16 was there as Michael Scavone entered a magistrate's court this morning in the Back Mountain. The man from Harveys Lake faces a long list of charges including homicide by vehicle and DUI.
Police say Scavone was driving drunk when he struck and killed Paula Jones at Harveys Lake this past June. Scavone took off but was found a short time later.
The magistrate decided this morning that there is enough evidence to send Scavone to trial.
