BLOOMSBURG -- The food vendors are ready, the gates are open, and people walked in, ready to experience the 2015 Bloomsburg Fair.

"I'm excited. I like the fair. We come a lot during the week," Louise Grove said.

It's the fair's Preview Day, a chance for the vendors to finish their preparations, and for people to get into the fairgrounds at a discounted price.

"It's well worth it because there's a lot to see and do," Carol Flaherty said.

Some people tell Newswatch 16 the discounted price on Preview Day isn't even a factor for them because they'll come anyway.

"Why not? We're here every other day," Linda Diltz said.

Even though not all of the stands are open on Preview Day, some people say they like coming because it's less crowded.

"People like to come when they can walk at their own leisure and kind-of look at things. Even though everything might not be open," Grove said.

"There's not a lot of people. You can walk around. There's stuff to eat. Stands are open. It's great," Flaherty said.

While most of the people Newswatch 16 spoke with have come to the Bloomsburg Fair for many years, it was Kathleen Scott of Freeland's first time.

"I wanted to come and just see what it was like because I've seen it on the news and thought it looked pretty interesting," Scott said.

Others, like Linda Diltz of Bloomsburg, have been here many times, and know what they like to eat.

"We just had Denny and Pearl's pizza so that was the first thing on the list, and a lot of other things," Diltz said.

The Bloomsburg Fair officially opens Saturday and runs through next Saturday.
