GORDON -- Two crashes, two days in a row, were in the same spot on Gordon Mountain Road in Schuylkill County.

"This is two days in a row. This is ridiculous. I'm so frustrated. It's not funny," said Carol Cheeseman of Gordon.

Thursday's crash makes four in the same place this month alone.

People were trying to clean up the mess from Wednesday's tractor trailer crash, when another big rig rolled over.

John Cheeseman was just feet away.

"Here it comes down the mountain, smoking and everything, and I just ran. I saw him turn towards my house. I double backed toward my house and started screaming no, no, no," said Cheeseman.

The driver is OK and so is everyone else who was nearby.

On Wednesday, Newswatch 16 spoke to John's mother Carol about that crash. She said even though there have been dozens of crashes over the years, it had been a while since something happened to her property.

Now, she has a big rig on her property, lumber all over her yard and on her car.

"If anybody wants to buy my house, take my land, right now I'll sell it for a penny. I'm so afraid."

Crews are stuck cleaning up a big mess again.

The borough wants to do something about the issue that has been happening for years. Now, it's considering putting stop signs on Biddle Street, but the council understands even that won't stop the crashes, but it might prevent the trucks from hitting someone else.

"We wish we could stop it. We don't want to see anyone get hurt, anyone get killed, any property get damaged," said Jason Quick, a Gordon borough council member.

Quick hopes there's an answer because Wednesday's crash hit close to home.

"My mother-in-law was involved in the accident yesterday, she was in the car that was hit by the tractor-trailer."

Gordon borough council members plan to meet with PennDOT again to figure out what to do next.

PennDOT said it would be happy to do that.

It should be noted there are already numerous signs, a weight restriction on the road and a GPS update to help prevent this issue.
