GORDON -- Another tractor trailer crashed on Gordon Mountain Road in Schuylkill County.
Butler Township police say a tractor trailer driver from North Carolina came down the mountain on Wednesday and T-boned a woman driving her car on Biddle Street.
The big rig went off the road into the woods, losing the load of lumber it was carrying.
Both drivers are expected to be OK and police are still investigating the crash.
For people who live near this intersection in Gordon, this is all too familiar.
"Next time it could be the bus. It could be the kids. We're so afraid of that happening," said Carol Cheeseman of Gordon.
Cheeseman says she has seen at least 25 tractor trailer crashes right here over the years.
Just last year, Newswatch 16 was there when another crash happened near her home, dumping a load all over her yard.
She thinks it's tractor trailer drivers who don't know where they're going and don't pay attention.
"If you don't know it, please don't come down!"
James McGraw says this is the third crash he's seen at this intersection just this month alone.
"I live three blocks away and we lost power. It happens several times a year and something needs to be done," said McGraw.
People who live in Gordon say the issue is that when those tractor trailers get off of Interstate 81 drivers are supposed to stop and see the signs, but people think drivers just aren't reading the sign or forget about it by the time they get all the way down the hill.
"I don't know. There's enough signage at the time of the hill. I don't know what the next step is," said McGraw.
Butler Township Police say they hope to have a meeting with PennDOT soon, but there's already a weight restriction on the road and signs down the hill.
No one is exactly sure what do to next.
