If you like football then you'll tend to like this player Rutgers recruit and linebacker Rashawn Battle. At 6-3 and 220 lbs the Wallenpaupack senior stands out in a sea of purple. In 2014 Battle registered 37 tackles-3 for loss with 2 1/2 sacks. He's expected to do more in 2015 and relishes the role.

"So what's going to be the key for the Buckhorns defense this year? Just stopping the teams on 3rd down and limiting them to one drive and we get the ball. And offensively? I think we just need to finish games. We we're in a lot of games last year but we finish games and in the 2nd half this year we should be pretty good," said Rashawn.

"We're going to look to him. Big time kid has to make big time play, and since the kid is going to Rutgers, and had about 15 other schools interested in him we're relying on him pretty heavily this year and see what he can do for us," said Mark.

Scott Walck is the junior quarterback for the Western Wayne Wildcats. He brings that winning attitude to a program that went (6-4) in the regular season last year, but lost in the playoffs.

"It helps a lot. Definitely maturity is the best. My first game against North Pocono I was shaking like this, but now I'm a lot better than I have. I'm a leader now to this team now that all the seniors left and they look up to the quarterback, especially the young guys because they don't know the plays. I have to teach them what they have to do. So definitely I've matured a lot in that aspect just being a good overall football player around all these kids," said Scott.

"He's a good kid. We brought him up to the varsity team his freshman year. We knew he was a special kid, talented, athletic kid,but like you said he has a good head on his shoulders very smart. He is a 4.0 GPA kid, " said Donnie.

One of Scott's favorite targets Kyle Haines is gone, but that shouldn't stop the junior quarterback from having another outstanding season and trying to throw for another 2,100 yards and 19 touchdowns.

"How do you replace Kyle? You just have to work with the younger kids. Kyle and I we're working since November throwing the ball getting our timing down, and I have a younger brother coming up so we've been working hard and we have these younger guys so working on our timing and getting together," again said Scott.
