WYOMING -- A man in Luzerne County has been missing since Labor Day, and now the search to find him is on. Dozens of people are looking for Charles Stark, 51, who was last seen in the borough of Wyoming.
Stark was last seen Monday night riding a bike into this trail just a couple blocks from his home. He hasn't been seen since.
Michelle Stark is Charles' wife of 25 years. She says Charles suffers from a medical condition: if he gets dehydrated, he could become susceptible to seizures.
“We all love him, myself, our two daughters, my friends and family. My girls are devastated,” Stark said.
Police have focused their search along this trail off of Sixth Street in Wyoming near the Susquehanna River. Raymond Zelinski lives above the trail and says he last saw stark Monday around 7:30 p.m., when it was getting dark out.
“That's what got me wondering why he would be going down there this time,” he said.
Police and search crews agree this trail can be challenging for any bicycle or even all-terrain vehicles because of all the holes and the hills.
“Not the safest place. There are some wide trails here that you guys can drive cars and four wheel drive vehicles on, once you get off those it`s pretty treacherous.,” said Wyoming Police Commissioner Mike Flanagan.
Police are also searching for evidence of Stark's whereabouts, like his bike. But so far, nothing. Police ask if you have any information on Stark, to give them a call.
