BARTONSVILLE -- A mural was unveiled in Monroe County Friday.
The artwork, called "The Lowe's Tree of Appreciation," was painted by a worker at Lowe's in Bartonsville.
She began painting about two months ago on her own time.
The mural represents all of the store's workers of varying backgrounds and race as one big family.
"I want people to know that we are people, too. We do have feelings as well and a home. A life that they have as well, we're just all normal here," said the artist, Desiree Loanzo.
The artist has now partnered with the Women's Resource Center of Monroe County and plans to organize a fundraiser to benefit the organization.
