SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP -- The 21st annual Pocono Garlic Festival is going on this weekend in Monroe County.
35 vendors at Shawnee Mountain Ski Area near Marshalls Creek will serve up all kinds of food including garlic crepes, garlic ice cream, and garlic pickled tomatoes.
The organizer says garlic flourishes in the Poconos mountains.
"It's the glacier soil in the Poconos that we grow a good crop and a good variety with a great flavor. It's really catching on," organizer Carl Andrew said.
In addition to food, there will be live entertainment and a petting zoo.
The Pocono Garlic Festival runs Saturday and Sunday.
