BLOOMSBURG -- The 160th Bloomsburg Fair is set to kick off at the end of the month and on Wednesday, organizers talked about some new attractions.

For the first time since 2007, there will be fireworks on Wednesday night at the fair.

ZZ Top, who had to cancel last year because of an ankle injury with one of its members, is scheduled to headline the fair.

There will also be a new carousel and exhibits featuring hi-tech farm equipment. The carousel is made with leftover supplies from Knoebels.

"We have materials throughout the park we gathered and we do own a lumberyard," said Stacy Ososkie of Knoebels. "It was nice for us to go up there and get some of that material together and we also have carousel pieces we've collected throughout the years that we're able to use."

"There will be mums galore around there and it will be something that people would have to come out and see," said Paul Reichart, president of the Bloomsburg Fair. "It'll be wonderful."

The Bloomsburg Fair, just like every other fair in Pennsylvania, will not have chickens or birds because of the avian flu spreading across the country.

The Bloomsburg Fair runs from September 26 through October 3.
