POCONO TOWNSHIP -- While many school districts are already back in session, some are not and that means a booming business at places like Camelbeach Mountain Resort in the Poconos.

"I got to go in a hot tub! A roof hot tub with lights and a bottom hot tub in my pool,” laughed Sammy Lowenthal of New Jersey who starts kindergarten in a few days.

"You try to convince yourself the summer's not over because it's gone so fast and you try to get one or two more things in the kids will enjoy, whether it's amusement park or water park,” said Sammy’s dad, Craig Lowenthal.

Families with kids in tow are making the most of the dwindling days of summer vacation by soaking up the sun and splashing the day away.

"It's a little upsetting that the summer is ending, but it's great to be here, great to be with the family on a beautiful day, but I'm a little sad the summer is over, coming to an end,” said Allison Belli of New York.

Newswatch 16 met students who will trade their bathing suits later this week for school clothes and backpacks.

"I'm sad that it's over, but I had a really great summer and I kind of like miss all my friends so I'm excited to see them too,” said Kayla Bellin of New York.

"I like some things, but not others like the homework. I don't really want to do more homework!" said Jacob Lowenthal.

Camelbeach will close for the season after Labor Day.
