SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT -- Saturday's single game attendance record holds up, but Sunday's crowd of more than 42,000 would sell out at 16 different major league baseball ballparks.

It really was quite the crowd at the Little League World Series Championship Game. Unlike Japan, the U.S. team is a mere two hours away from home and brought in everyone from the sea of Red land Fans including "Waldo" and Pennsylvania's governor.

"To see that sea of red out in the outfield and the berm, it's going to be a great game," said Gov. Tom Wolf.

Trooper Alex Douglass and the widow and children of Corporal Bryon Dickson threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

South Williamsport Police Chief Robert Hetner says a lot of planning went into preparing for these kinds of crowds, especially when they saw just how far the local team was going.

Hetner said "We have a lot of different folks to help us with the different levels of government and law enforcement, state federal and we have a lot of local folks to help us step up to the plate."

Sara Servey from Washington D.C. made it to the stadium by 3 a.m. Sunday morning. For Servey, an area native, she just couldn't see herself missing the home state team going for it all.

She said, "I don't know, I've been to a world series where a Pennsylvania team this close made it this far. It's really cool and this is an awesome environment. That was the big deciding factor that we're leaving at 8:30 at night to come here."

Red Land lost to Japan 18-11 for the Little League World Series title.
