LAKEVILLE -- A fire Friday night at a fire company in Wayne County has been ruled accidental.

Officials say a vehicle caught fire at the Lakeville Volunteer Fire Company around 10 p.m. Friday.

The flames damaged the building just off Route 590 near Lake Wallenpaupack and destroyed a tanker as well as a paramedic's vehicle.

A state police fire marshal says the flames started in that vehicle's engine.

The Lakeville Volunteers tried to save what they could.

"It's like your mom's house on fire. It's, you know, it takes it up to a whole different degree of intensity," said Chief Robert Boogertman.

The chief says his crew will work out of a smaller station and get help from neighboring departments until things get back to normal in Wayne County.
