WEST HAZLETON -- Police say surveillance video shows an attack on a woman outside a store in Luzerne County Thursday.

Investigators said the man waited for the woman to leave the "Puff and Stuff" store along North 4th Street.

He attacked her and tried to take her purse.  A group of bystanders chased the man away.

According to officers, that man pointed a gun at the group, jumped into a car, and took off.

Officials say the woman had minor injuries.

Police are looking for a black Ford Fusion missing a right front hubcap. They believe that may have been the car the woman's attacker used to get away.

Anyone with information is asked to call police in West Hazleton.

Welcome to Mogadishu Pennsylvania. Demorats will keep telling you to embrace diversity and welcome the unwanted. A blind man can see how great it worked out in Hazleton.

LOL Yes, I thought the point of the news is to inform. Here, let me help you WNEP

The suspect is described as a tall, black male, possibly early 20’s, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The suspect fled north on 4th Street and entered a waiting vehicle at the intersection of East Green Street. It was reported the suspect possessed a semiautomatic handgun at the time of the incident.

The fleeing vehicle has been identified as a dark colored Ford Fusion sedan, possibly a 2010-2012 model year, with a black right front wheel.

That was very brave of them considering this loser had a gun. I hope they get him which will be a pointless exercise if he serves but 5 minutes time!
