WILLIAMSPORT -- One person is dead after a shooting Tuesday in Williamsport.
Police in Williamsport say the suspect turned himself in an hour after the deadly shooting at Newberry Estates.
Police taped off a section of apartments inside Newberry Estates after shots were fired around 12:20 p.m. Tuesday at the housing complex in Williamsport.
The Lycoming County coroner confirms an 18-year-old man is dead and another was flown to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Neighbors looked on while investigators stayed close to apartment 245, where officials say the shooting happened.
One neighbor we spoke with says she was inside that apartment with her young daughter just minutes before the shooting.
"Who knows if I would have stayed and who knows if a bullet would have gone through my wall and hit my daughter or one of us," said Brittany Dimarco.
"Oh, my gosh, that's horrible," added Angela Holmes. "It's like I'm scared to even go outside my door now."
Police charged Dustan Paulhamus late Tuesday night with carrying a concealed weapon. Bail was set at $500,000.
The names of the victims have not been released.
