SCRANTON -- The signs are going up and the anticipation is growing as Scranton gets ready to welcome Hillary Clinton back to her father's hometown.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will stop in Scranton Wednesday afternoon. The fundraising event is expected to be the first of several trips to the city where her father is from.

Clinton is expected between 2 -2:30 p.m. and people are still busy setting up for the event on the 1700 block of North Washington Avenue.

The fundraising event for Clinton's presidential campaign is being held at the home of Virginia McGregor, one of her longtime Scranton supporters.

A design company has been decorating the property and the street all morning, hanging up campaign signs and red white and blue bunting.

There is no word on how many people are expected to attend the event.

Tickets required at least $1,000 to be donated to Clinton's campaign.

The former First Lady and secretary of state is not expected to make any other stops in Scranton. That's angered a lot of Democrats in the city who were not able to attend.

Clinton is expected to make more public stops in Scranton leading up to the November 2016 election.
