KINGSTON -- Vandals caused a pool to shut down Saturday in Luzerne County.
Officials with the Kingston Community Pool said someone damaged the grounds sometime Friday night into Saturday morning.
According to those officials, some equipment was damaged and chlorine was spilled all over the floor of a pool house.
That pool re-opened around 2 p.m. Saturday.
Bobby Jacobs is the head lifeguard at the pool. He said, "There's so many kids that love to use this pool, and to see somebody really vandalize it, it hurts. And I know it's going to hurt all the kids that come here every day."
The mayor of Kingston said there is a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest.
