SCRANTON -- Three Lackawanna County natives were honored at a race in Scranton Sunday.

More than 200 runners took part in the Frankie's Voice 5K at Nay Aug Park.

It was the second year for the event in memory of Frank Bonacci of Dunmore. Bonacci was murdered after a party in Scranton in 2013.

Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Alex Douglass and Scranton Police Officer John Wilding were also honored at this year's race. Douglass was badly hurt when he was shot in an ambush at the Blooming Grove barracks in September. Wilding died a week ago from injuries he received in a fall while chasing robbery suspects.

Scranton police officers released blue and yellow balloons in memory of Officer Wilding before the race.

Frankie's Voice is a group dedicated to standing against violence.
