WILKES-BARRE -- It was all about keeping kids safe Saturday afternoon in Wilkes-Barre.
"HKQ Kids," which is affiliated with the law firm Hourigan, Kluger and Quinn hosted their annual bike helmet giveaway in Kirby Park.
State law says any child under 12 has to wear a helmet when riding a bike.
Any kid who didn't have a helmet or needed a new one could come down and get one for free.
"The community has done so much for us, we want to give back and make sure our kids are safe," said Michelle Quinn, HKQ Kids Spokesperson.
The program started in 2008 and has given away more than 6,000 helmets.
