WILKES-BARRE TOWNSHIP -- Somebody out there apparently thinks the Victoria's Secret store at the Wyoming Valley Mall is a pretty easy mark.
It's hard to argue right now that they'd be wrong.
Police report another $2,000 worth of pricey unmentionables stolen yesterday from the place.
By our count, this makes roughly $12,000 in women's undergarments ripped off from that same store in a series of thefts that goes back more than six months.
Surveillance video shows bra bandits and panty pilferers in action just a few weeks ago.
Thieves hit the store near Wilkes-Barre at least five times in the past six months.
Now they've struck again this time stealing 140 pairs of pricey undergarments.
"I've been reading it in the paper about Victoria's Secret. I don't understand it. Underwear?" questioned Robert Gelsleichter of Wilkes-Barre.
"I don't know, I think that is crazy! Who steals panties and bras?" asked Jada Perez of Wilkes-Barre.
The thefts are lucrative for the thieves. They've made off with well over $10,000 in merchandise and while police believe it's not the same thieves every time no one has been caught.
"How much loss could they afford, before they do something? Getting hit over and over and over again."
Wilkes-Barre Township police say hundreds of thousands of people have viewed the Victoria's Secret surveillance video on their Facebook page and in the news. Tips have flooded in with bras and panties showing up on Craigslist and eBay, but still nothing has been traceable.
"Get a job, get a life, it's crazy. Stop doing it!"
