SOUTH ABINGTON TOWNSHIP -- One lane of Interstate 81 southbound just before exit 191 (Scranton Expressway/Dickson City) was closed throughout the morning after a crash damaged the road and guide rail.
According to police, a dump truck hauling a backhoe on its flatbed lost control. The backhoe flipped off the flat bed and rolled over the guide rail, creating gouges into the road.
No one was hurt, but police are investigating why the driver lost control.
One lane will be closed while PennDOT repaired the road.
