WILKES-BARRE -- It was an early start for some athletes in Wilkes-Barre.
The 12th Annual Duathlon started with a run at 7:30 Sunday morning. After that, there was a 16-mile bike ride.
They rain we've had recently did muddle up the course adding a little extra challenge.
Some people even made it part of their Father's Day celebration.
"I like the course too. It's challenging. It's fun, and it's a good Father's Day event," said Chris Sabol of Shavertown.
The duathlon benefits the YMCA in Wilkes-Barre.
