PLAINS TOWNSHIP -- Crews rescued a person who they said fell from a dam at a reservoir in Luzerne County.
Responders say the male victim fell about 50 feet from the dam at the Mill Creek Reservoir in Plains Township and landed on rocks. It happened around 5 p.m. Monday.
The victim was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital with what are being called serious injuries.
Pennsylvania American Water said Tuesday it plans to press charges against the man for trespassing. The water company owns the dam and reservoir and said no trespassing signs are posted in the area.
