It was the first day of the State Track and Field Championships down at Seth Grove Stadium in Shippensburg.  It was a big day, especially for the girls from our area.

Beginning with prelims... First 110 hurdles.. Cassidy Jenkins of Lakeland ran a 14.75... Second fastest going into semis.
AA Boys 110 hurdles... Luke Rarig of Southern and Tyler Burger from Northwest Area tied for fastest 110 with 14.79 to move on to the next round.

AA boys 100m dash.. Bloom's Soph. Jahvel Hemphill ran 10.92 fastest of the day into semis AAA Brian Zimmerman from Mifflinburg finished 11.05 to qualify as well.

AA girls Pole vault Rachel Brouse of Bloomsburg out does herself.. going 11'6" for silver and PR

girls AAA shot put... Courtney McCartney of Selinsgrove tosses it 46" for back to back gold to round out her senior year

AA girls long jump Athens freshman Breana Gambrell 18'4" first place long jump PR and school record

AAA girls long jump PM East Khyasi Caldwell-Adams jumps 18'3" for gold.. first PM East state champ since 1992!

AAA boys triple jump.. Western Wayne's Alex Long jumps 44-11.25 for 6th place, Ryan Green of Jim Thorpe was 7th, Keyron Harvin Scranton freshman finished 8th

AAA boys pole vault, and you guessed it, Ryan Wilkes of Valley View 15'6" wins Gold!
