KIDDER TOWNSHIP -- Rangers at a state park in Carbon County are taking to social media to hunt down whoever vandalized several boulders at a popular site.

Graffiti was found spray painted on numerous large rocks at Boulder Field in Hickory Run State Park.

These pictures posted on the Hickory Run State Park's Facebook page show several boulders covered with graffiti and spray paint.

The post included a caption referencing the name “Chelsea Dee” painted on one rock, asking: “Do you know Chelsea Dee?”

Park rangers say those boulders are inside the park at Boulder Field, a national natural landmark.

Terry Wild was traveling from Connecticut to Michigan. He made a special stop to see Boulder Field and is disappointed someone is defacing this awe-inspiring sight.

“Taking five days to stop and pull over and see what I see and I'm amazed at this, so I'll be off to get some photographs of it, but what a shame. I've got graffiti out there,” said Wild.

“We just try to come out here and have fun, enjoy the summer. The water's good. We got good company. All my friends are here. And people do stuff like that, it just ruins the attraction,” said Malcolm Bates of Plymouth.

“If people start ruining it, it's like, thanks for ruining it for all of us. You shouldn't do it,” said Taylor Cooper from Plymouth.

“It's a beautiful place and it's sad that it's happening, but I hope that it will stop,” said Nathan Devarne from Philadelphia.

Park rangers believe the vandalism took place sometime last week. Now they want help in finding who did it.

People here say if the vandal actually did write their own name, it won't be hard to find them.

“Really. Yeah, that is stupid. That`s definitely stupid,” said Bates.

“You don`t have to mark your name on things. We get it. You`re here. No one else needs to know,” said Cooper.

If you have any information on the vandalism, you're asked to call the park office at Hickory Run State Park at 570-443-0400.
