WILLIAMSPORT -- Police have named three suspects in a deadly shooting earlier this week.

Cosme Berrones and Brandon Love of Williamsport are under arrest and held responsible for a deadly shooting in Williamsport earlier this week, and an arrest warrant is out for Terrance Perez, who is still on the run.

The three are accused of killing a man Monday outside his home on Anthony Street in Williamsport because of a fight over drugs.

Some people in Williamsport say even though arrests were made, it doesn't make them feel safer.

"If violence breaks out it's unpredictable. You don't know when, where or how it's going to happen," Thyressa Barbee said.

Earlier this week the Lycoming County district attorney announced officers in neighboring police departments would work extra hours to help patrol Williamsport.

"This is all done through the Narcotics Enforcement Unit, which is funded by the district attorney's office. So we basically could go out and flood an area," Chief Jeffrey Gyurina said.

On Wednesday, Lycoming County District Attorney Eric Linhardt announced a county-wide police crack down. Departments from all over Lycoming County have been patrolling Williamsport since last month.

"There's hot times, cold times. It's whenever they can get people together. It's random and right now that's the best way to have it is to be random," Gyurina said.

"Well, we have to be proactive. We have to go out there and make sure things don't happen. We need to take a stance and protect our community," Old Lycoming Township Police Chief Bill Solomon said.

Solomon says half of his department is working overtime in Williamsport.

"It doesn't affect the department's day-to-day routine. We're still maintaining what we need to do to make sure our folks are safe. But it is a little bit encumbering on the guys working extra shifts," Solomon said.

Linhardt says the extra patrols will continue for as long as they are needed.
