TUNKHANNOCK -- A former teacher who pleaded guilty to corruption of minors charges was sentenced Wednesday morning in Wyoming County court.
A judge sentenced Michael Chase of Dalton to 30 days to 18 months in jail.
Chase pleaded guilty in March.
The former Tunkhannock Area High School history teacher was sending sexual text messages to a female student over a two-year period.
