ALLENTOWN -- A mother was charged with homicide Monday after allegedly throwing her one-and-a-half year old off a bridge in Allentown.
Authorities say Johnesha Perry, 19, of Allentown tossed her son into the Lehigh River and then jumped in on May 3.
Both were taken to the hospital. The coroner said child died Saturday.
Autopsy results showed the boy died from a combination of blunt force trauma and drowning.
On Monday the district attorney charged Perry with homicide and endangering the welfare of a child.
Perry is locked up in Lehigh County.
