SCRANTON -- The city of Scranton is receiving a brand new police car.

Toyota of Scranton donated a new 2015 Camry to the police department on Friday.

“This, we believe to be one of the very first police vehicles for Toyota Camry in the 2015 model year in the United States, and we're graciously giving it to the city of Scranton for their use,” said Toyota of Scranton President Greg Gagorik. “It's going to be a patrol supervisor vehicle. Really looking forward to seeing it on the road.”

“It's got a little more comfort than we're used to. In policing, it's kind of just the basics, and it's a work vehicle. And this has some more of those extra comforts,” said Scranton Police Chief Carl Graziano.

The vehicle has been specially modified for police use.

Chief Graziano says he expects the new Toyota to be on the street in about two weeks.
