POTTSVILLE -- Annmarie Swanson is a single mom in Schuylkill County and both of her kids are in college.

On Thursday, she found an early Mother's Day surprise while getting her hair done in Pottsville.

It's all part of a giveaway from Murphy Jewelers in Schuylkill County.

It's called "Finders Keepers!"

The jewelry store is hiding 100 of sterling silver necklaces all over Schuylkill County.

Employees hope a deserving mom finds the gift or someone who could pass it along to their mother.

"My daughter came up with the idea and said, 'Let`s give back to the community,' and we did what we consider an act of kindness," said Patrick Murphy, owner of Murphy Jewelers.

Swanson found her surprise at Heaven and Earth Salon in Pottsville.

"I actually haven`t had a necklace on for quite a while, so this is really very special. I do appreciate it very much," said Swanson.

How many times have you heard your mom say, "It's ok. Don't get me anything." That's exactly why Murphy Jewelers took it upon themselves to say thanks!

Jewelry store employees have been hiding the necklaces all over the county, any place a mom might go.

Other businesses involved said it's a great idea.

"It was a beautiful client of ours who obviously needed to feel very special today and we were glad we could help deliver that message to her," said Kim Greis, owner of Heaven and Earth Salon.

You never know where that next Mother`s Day surprise is going to show up, so you've got to keep looking!

"We have quite a few to go around up until actually Saturday."

Murphy Jewelers will also be making donations to Schuylkill Women in Crisis.

All the owner asks is that if you do find a necklace, post a picture of you and the box on their Facebook page using #murphyfinderskeepers!
