DALLAS TOWNSHIP -- A family in Luzerne County is looking for answers after the death of their Shetland pony.
The pony, named Chisom was a therapy animal for children with special needs.
Chisom was found dead Saturday on a property in Dallas Township. The owners believe the 20-year-old pony was possibly killed with a crossbow.
"I believe that to be true based on his wounds. I don't know why, but yes," said Susan Billings of Dallas Township.
Dallas Township police are investigating the animal's death.
