WEST HAZLETON — Two men face drug charges after a traffic stop in West Hazleton and police say a six-year-old child was in the car.
Officers stopped the vehicle around 1:30 a.m. on South Broad Street for having illegal lighting equipment. During the stop, police said there was probable cause to search the vehicle, where a “substantial amount of narcotics” and prescription medications were found.
Cory Bezdziecki, 30, of Barnesville was charged with a felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, one felony count of manufacturing a controlled substance, one misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child, and other misdemeanor charges.
Julian David Jackson, 21, of Barnesville faces one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police said the child was released to a family member.
Bezdziecki is locked up in the Luzerne County jail on $75,000 bail.
