SCRANTON — Young leaders in Lackawanna County are teaming up to give part of one city a fresh look.

“Paint the Town” is a project aimed at rallying people to give neighborhoods a facelift.

NeighborWorks Northeastern Pennsylvania, Habitat for Humanity of Lackawanna County and Leadership Lackawanna are all teaming up to bring this project together.

The event looks for volunteers who are 16 and older to help with all types of home painting and maintenance, including clean-up.

The organizers said they will be working with Weston Field, The Lackawanna River Heritage Trail, and other parks to help improve the area.
