EAST STROUDSBURG -- A group of college students in Monroe County planned a party for some folks at Pocono Tranquil Gardens, a senior care center in East Stroudsburg.
Special events students from East Stroudsburg University hosted a "Swing into the 40s" event Wednesday as part of their event planning class.
Students planned everything from the menu to the entertainment.
Brad Seid, the professor of the class, says it's a great way to get the students hands-on experience.
"I think as far as the students are concerned in many cases, they learn a lot more by doing than by listening to a lecture. So actually planning this out is a great learning experience," Seid said.
This event was one of seven the class will hold during this semester.
