SCRANTON -- Music lovers were hoping to pick up some vinyl from possible future hall-of-famers Saturday in Scranton.

Folks packed music stores like Embassy Vinyl on Adams Avenue for Record Store Day.

Record Store Day is a worldwide event to celebrate independent music stores. It started in 2008.

Lots of artists put out special edition records just for Saturday.

Record stores owners say vinyl is making a come back.

"I just think it's something more tangible to have. A lot of people have done away with CD's and put their music on a computer, at least a record is something you can hold and look at and its something tangible," said R.J. Harrington, owner of Embassy Vinyl.

Fans could find an album that Joan Jett and the Blackhearts re-issued just for Saturday.
