RENOVO -- State police say that a woman's body was found Saturday afternoon in Halls Run near Renovo.
The coroner was on scene. So far, investigators have not said if it is, in fact, the body of Kelley Jo Snyder, who has been missing since Easter Sunday.
Kelley Snyder's husband is in custody, however, after he was arrested Friday at a hotel in upstate New York in connection with the case.
There are still a lot of unanswered questions after police say Kelley Snyder went missing nearly one week ago in Clinton County.
As the search continues, the news of her husband's arrest has folks who have been looking for Snyder in Renovo very concerned.
On Tuesday, Snyder's husband said, "We just hope if she is out there and can see this or someone sees this and has any info to get a hold of us."
That was William Snyder talking to Newswatch 16 just a few days after police say his wife, Kelley Snyder, went missing Easter Sunday from their home in Renovo.
Just days after he pleaded for his wife's safe return home, Snyder was led out by state police in handcuffs from a hotel near Elmira, New York Friday night.
Snyder was brought back to Pennsylvania.
According to court papers, he was taken into custody on a charge of tampering with physical evidence.
For some reason, investigators withdrew that charge, leaving many people wondering if Snyder had any role in his wife's disappearance.
"Yeah, I knew them both. I think it's kind of strange what's going on," said Greg Lacadaugh, Yesterday's Restaurant and Hotel Owner.
Lacadaugh owns the restaurant that is just a few blocks away from the Snyder home near Fourth Street.
He says the news of Snyder's arrest is concerning and hopes to get some answers soon. "He left town under the situation, so who is to say what really is happening."
Others who live on the same street as the Snyders say there has to be more to the story and don't believe Snyder had anything to do with his wife going missing.
"I think they are wrong. I don't think it was him, so I think they need to do a little more investigating other than pinning on the husband," said Faith Marr, neighbor.
Now, rescue crews and volunteers have been searching the river through the past week. They say they haven't been able to find any clues leading to the missing person and hope the recent arrest will lead to more answers.
"A lot of resources spent throughout the last week and we are still fruitless at this point," said ChiefJim Risley, Renovo Fire Company.
Lacadaugh added, "Hopefully it gets resolved soon. You know, a lot of people putting in time and effort in it. Hopefully, she is safe and everyone can move on here."
At last check, state police say William Snyder is locked up at the jail in Clinton County.
It's not clear on what, if any, charges he faces. However, investigators say Snyder could be charged as early as Saturday evening.
Again, state police say a unidentified woman's body was found near Renovo Saturday afternoon.
Newswatch 16 has a crew there and will have the latest information as it becomes available.
